Nominations open for 2012 Community Service Awards
The Exchange Club's Community Service Awards recognizes Needham
High School freshmen, sophomores or juniors who are active in clubs or
organizations that serve our community.
Up to four students will be hosted and recognized at an Exchange Club meeting early in 2012. Each of the students recognized for their community service will also be invited to submit a short proposal to the Exchange Club for a cash donation to the organization they work with. The Exchange Club will select one or two organizations for a donation from among the proposals submitted by the students.
Four students were recognized in the inaugural year of the Community Service Awards,
and $750 cash donations were made to support the work of "Take Back the Night" and Rockets Against Destructive Decisions (RADD). Last year's awardees were recognized for their work in the Peer Tutoring program and the Gay Straight Alliance at Needham High School.
Students are encouraged to fill out a short online application by Friday, December 23rd to be considered for the 2012 Community Service Awards.
